Attention Swimmers!!
Eric Cullen and Dan Ricketts make Olympic Trials!! Eric Cullen and Dan Ricketts have qualified for Olympic trials. Eric qualified in 100 Breast LCM time of 1:03.81 and Dan qualified for 100 Free LCM time of 50.89, and 100 Fly LCM time of 55.39. Contacting the Coaches The old CATY voicemail box at the YMCA is no longer active. Please do not call the front desk and ask to leave a message for the coaches in voicemail. The coaches do not check it, and will not receive your message. While you may still use the Y's number to reach the coaches or to reach the front desk, if you have questions they can answer (such as membership, billing, facility hours, etc), the swim team no longer has voicemail. The best way to reach the coaches is via email (email addresses are available under each coach on the coaches page).
If you would like to schedule a conference with a coach, please email or phone the coach for an appointment. Please note that coaches cannot confer on deck before, during, or after practices.
Team Suits Replacement suits may be ordered directly from Blazin (contact Blaise Matthews, Blazin co-founder and our team's rep, at 484-888-6944 or blazin@zoominternet.net). Team suits may be purchased at any time, and will be mailed directly to you from the company. Swimmers are reminded to save their TEAM SUITS for the meets. Wearing them in practice will cause them to stretch and wear out prematurely
Additional Team Gear Tradewinds order forms are due with payment no later than Wednesday, October 24th at 9pm. Please put completed order forms in the Keehner mailbox. CATY caps can be purchased from Ms. Dorothy Keehner or from the coaches after practice. Latex caps: $5.00. Silicone caps: $12.00. Cash or checks should be made payable to Western Family YMCA Swim Team.

Calendar/Look Ahead
Snow Closings Practices are cancelled on days that Baltimore County Schools are closed, unless the swim team line or website says otherwise. For the ease of communications during holidays and snowstorms (in the event that Baltimore County Schools are not in session), please call the swim team voice mail (410-747-9622, x301) and consult the website. The recorded message will provide information on the status of meets or practices. Please keep trying if the line is busy. Do not rely on the front desk staff to provide this information.
